MAGIC SHOW

Introducing the first ever M Block MAGIC SHOW!

Each year in M block we like to set homework challenges that focus on developing the key competencies and TP life-long learner skills.  In the past we have had a trolley derby, a science fair, and a raft race (which will be happening again this year in term 3 and 4 to coincide with outdoor week).  There will be two major homework challenges this year and both will require parental involvement.  The challenge for this term and next is a new one... THE M BLOCK MAGIC SHOW!

KIDS...

We want you to become magicians!  Your homeowrk challenge is to work with your family and your friends (if you want to) to come up with a small performance for our magic show.  You can perform your magic trick by yourself, with a friend, or with a family member.  Check out the websites below and ABRACADABRA, you've already begun!

PARENTS...

In previous years our homework challenges have provided a lot of fun and learning, not only for the children but for families too!  For those in M block last year, the organisation will be similar to that of our previous homework challenges in that parent help is essential.  Childrne will have a choice of working in small groups or individually, this will be discussed and organised with the childrne at school.  If children decide they want to work together, parents will need to liase to allow them time to work on their acts outside of school.  Preparation for the Magic Show will be a major part of homework for terms 1 and 2.  As well being fun, we believe this challnge provides your child woth an opportunity to focus on and develop the keycompetencies adn TP life-long learner skills that are a significant part of the Totara Park School Curriculum.  Please read on to find out more about the key competencies and TP skills.
